Attorney Warren B. Mikesell II is an experienced attorney who has been practicing law in Clearfield County since graduating from the Dickenson School of Law in 1991.
Warren Mikesell has well-rounded knowledge and understanding of Clearfield County Courts and the law including but not limited to real estate transactions, estate planning, family law, preparing powers of attorney, wills, trusts, living wills, residential and commercial lease agreements, oil, gas and coal leases.
Mr. Mikesell is a member of both the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Clearfield County Bar Association.
Mr. Mikesell has extensive courtroom experience in both the civil and criminal courts and has served as both prosecutor and defense counsel in Clearfield County courtrooms.
Mr. Mikesell is a veteran of the U.S. Navy and a lifelong resident of Clearfield Borough.
He graduated from Clearfield Area High School in 1977 and served in the U.S. Navy from 1977 to 1985.
Trained in personnel administration, he supervised and operated several departments within U.S. Naval stations throughout the world including Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, Keflavik Iceland, and Groton Connecticut.
He received an Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Navy as a Personnelman First Class Petty Officer (PN1/E-6) in January 1985.
Following his military service Warren B. Mikesell II received his Bachelors of Arts Degree in Business Administration and Economics from Grove City College in 1988 where he graduated Cum Laude.
While in law school Mr. Mikesell served on the legal staff of the President Pro Tempore of the Pennsylvania Senate from May of 1989 to June of1991.
Warren Mikesell was the Legislative Legal Intern for the Honorable Senator Robert Jubelirer and was responsible for research, preparing legal briefs, drafting legislation, contracting, assisting and solving constituents’ problems and performing other legal duties associated with the Office of the President Pro Tempore of the Senate.
After graduating law school he joined the firm of Mikesell & Mikesell with his father Donald R. Mikesell in 1991.
From 1992-1994 Warren B. Mikesell II served as a full-time Assistant District Attorney under then Clearfield County District Attorney Fredric J. Ammerman, who currently serves as the President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Clearfield County.
In addition to his private practice, Mikesell served as an assistant public defender from 1997-2003, and again from 2004-2006, initially under then Chief Public Defender F. Cortez Bell III, and subsequently under Richard Hughes and Daniel Bell.
In 2003-04 he was a part-time district attorney under then Clearfield County District Attorney Paul Cherry, who currently serves as Judge of the Court of Common Pleas in Clearfield County.
In 2006, Mikesell returned to the District Attorney’s Office as a part-time assistant district attorney under William A. Shaw Jr. where he serves to the present day
Mr. Mikesell is a member of Board of Directors of the Clearfield Charitable Foundation, which supports scholarships and charitable organizations throughout Clearfield County.
Mr. Mikesell is an avid sportsmen and enjoys hunting and fishing. He is also a long-time member of the Masonic Lodge No. 314 in Clearfield.
Mr. Mikesell is married to Kimberly Mikesell who serves as his legal secretary at the firm of Mikesell & Mikesell., Attorneys at Law.
Warren Mikesell has three children to a previous marriage, Warren B. Mikesell III of Clearfield, Breann K. Mikesell Kipple of Myrtle Beach South Carolina and Michael Thomas Mikesell (deceased) of Clearfield and three wonderful grandchildren Willoe Ann Mikesell of Clearfield, Jackson Alan Kipple and James Andrew Kipple both of Myrtle Beach South Carolina.
